AFTER GUILDFORD WIN... ITS 99 GOALS FOR THE MOLES!!!!

The Moles midweek game took them to The Spectrum, Guildford who are fighting to get out of the relegation zone however...

with the Moles scoring after 17 seconds through a fine strike from Baxter following a through ball by Robinson, that seemed to be a hard task and would be another hard night for the Guildford youngsters, but in fairness they rallied on after the shock start.

Molesey dominated early proceedings with possession and created a few chances which went astray, and other chances were stopped with some good saves by the Guildford keeper, but as the half progressed Guildfords terrier like, enthusiastic youngsters starting get into the game creating a few half chances themselves, then from a corner looped up, unfortunately and unlike our own young keeper, he dropped the cross and Knight was the first to pounce and prod the ball home from close range.

This goal gave Guildford youngsters a boost in having the lions share of possession, without creating too many chances, whereas Molesey were threatening with their movement and were clinical in their finishing, with Baxter latching onto another through ball to nutmeg the keeper making it 2-1 then a minute before half time, from a long throw, Chalke pounced into area to head home making it 3-1 at half time.

After half time Molesey started the quicker and another fine through ball by Chalke between the spacious Guildford defence, Palladino finish with aplomb slotting the ball in the far corner with the keeper well beaten to make it 4-1

Guildford then had their moment of pressure by hitting the bar from close range, but as the game came to close, Charles charging run to the byline took 3 attempts to cross into the box, when the final effort was headed home by the on rushing Tom Windsor for his 10th of the season, and Molesey's 5th on the night making it 99 goals in all competations averaging 3 goals a game...!!!

Next up for the Moles is a short trip to Colliers Wood at the Wibbandune Sports Ground this Saturday 21 February 2015 - Kick off 3pm ....weather permitting of course !
