...it was just a matter of when !

As mentioned in the last report, the Molesey faithful were getting frustrated that the Moles rue their many missed chances in their 3 previous games, but this came to an abrupt end on Tuesday night at Knaphill when chances created were taken, and had it not been for more missed chances and the excellent Shelley in the Knaphill goal, it could have been much much worse than the final 8-0 scoreline.

In front of a decent crowd at Redding Way, is was a Molesey masterclass display who were on fire right from the start playing some delightful football which was easy on the eye for the spectators, and had it not been for a couple of missed chances and Shelley with 3 excellent saves it could have been 5-0 in the first 10 mins much was the Moles dominance, but with this dominance and Knaphill under constant pressure, the pressure took its toll and Shelley was finally beaten on the half hour with a 4 minute hat trick from Palmer.

More chances went missing by the Moles and some excellent inter-change was pleasing to watch, leaving Knaphill with a couple of half chances as the game worked its way towards half time.

After the interval it was much of the same with Shelley on hand to make more saves, and with the few Knaphill forays on the Moles goal it wasn't until the 70th minute when the goal-fest stated again with 5 goals in a 17 minute spell starting with 4 goals from Baxter ending his month's goal drought and the usual goal from McShane.

Next up for the Moles is a trip to Frimley Green this saturday 27 September which is never an easy place to go to, so it will be game on ! - Kick off 3.00pm
