The Moles secured another 3 points in a 3-1 win over a strong and lively Windsor outfit...

To stay in touch with Camberley and Cove who currently secure the top two places in the CCL Premier. Thats now 21 goals in an 8 game winning run, conceding only 3 !

Last night was Molesey's biggest crowd of the season so far, which included the on looking England Assistant Manager Ray Lewington who witnessed a very competitive match which had it all, an incident packed high tempo game between two good teams, this was a definite one to watch for the neutral !

It was the impressive Windsor who arrived at Molesey full of confidence by winning their last 4 games, infact the last game they lost was against the Moles losing 3-0 midway through December. Windsor's attacking style dominated proceedings at the start of the game bringing out a fine save from the young Molesey 'keeper Liam Allen, then a mistake by the Windsor defence let in James McShane to fire home for his 15th of the season. Shortly after, a Molesey goal line clearance popped up nicely for Kyle Lucas who fired home into an empty net to make it 1-1 after McShane had a glorious chance to put the Moles 2 ahead by skimming the far post when being put through.

Then came the Dennison show with 3 worldy saves to keep score level, the best from a 20 yard drilled strike by Dre Grobler pushing it round the post, so were the Moles going to rue these brilliant saves and some missed chances to boot? Fortunately this was not the case, as from a corner, a high climb by Grobler at the far post nodded the ball down for Joe Pratley-Jones to fire home from close range.

HT : 2-1

After the break, Windsor's quick counter attacking style caused Molesey problems nevertheless, the Moles back 5 stood firm and with 2 incidents which led to 2 Windsor players being sent off near the end of the game, a neat Molesey passing move down the right flank led to Staforde Palmer striking low and hard from 18 yards to beat Courtnage, replacing Dennison at half time due to injury, in injury time for the Moles to come away 3-1 winners.

An entertaining game it must be said, keeping the crowd interested and excited until the very end, in which both teams were a credit to the Combined Counties League.

Next up?....well it never gets easy, as the Moles next game is against the league leaders Cove at Walton Road this Saturday 31 January 2015 - Kick off 3pm

Please come along to support and cheer on the lads !
