So we come to our final league home game of the seasons. Our first season back in Rymans has been one that none of us could of predicted.

Who would of believed would would of been second in the league table in November ! We have certainly have held our heads up proud and achieved more than anyone thought. And played football.

I appreciate it's been frustrating for players management and supporters at times and everyone is entitled to an opinion. We have a good group of supporters who have definitely been heard through the season and your support never falters. And our parents who come along and support your sons week in and week out. We are a family club and we have worked hard over the years to get to where we are and like in all families there are disagreements but we should be able to look beyond this and support each other through the rough times and be positive for the lads.

Our lads ! Have to say right through the club from the first team ressie and youth the football has been of an excellent standard and all our teams have done well. I appreciate especially with the weather ressie and youth and vets have fallen foul to the weather and believe me it's as frustrating for us as it is for the boys. So thank you to all the football management for handling this.

Ressie have done extremely well this year getting into the semi finals of the league cup. But again having players stepping through to support the first team. I would just like to thank Sean and Vic for all their hard work in the season. And a special congratulations goes to Sean as he got married last weekend. Love to you both.

The youth in their second year together have gone from strength to strength and Mark and Crossy have worked hard with the lads. The lads are a good bunch and I believe if we can keep them together they will be the future of Molesey fc. Next Friday the lads take on Chessington in semi cup final of the league cup here at Molesey. So please come along and support them.

And to the first team lads. Thank you to every single one of you for all your time effort and support. I have come away from this season feeling so proud of you all. And you have done Molesey proud. Just remember boys Molesey is your club and we have great things ahead of us. I appreciate that close season is coming and I'm sure lots of clubs will be interested in you all. However myself supporters and the club would like to see you all back on the 25th of June for our first training session. Remember we are the Mole Family and always will be.

Now I come to the first team management I can't not thank you all enough for what you have achieved for us this season. I think unless you are involved in football I don't believe you truly understand the commitment it all involves preparing for a game training and so on. Never mind dealing with players mfc chairlady etc !!!

Now I have to tell you all something that has deeply upset me over the past couple of weeks and no amount of words can explain what will be a big loss Molesey FC.

Steve has taken the decision to step down as our first team manager. I'm honestly lost for words as to the effect this has and will have. However me especially and I hope that you will all feel the same we have to respect Steve decision. There are lots of reasons why Steve wishes to step down from work to family to what he has achieved at the club. Whist I respect these i am heart broken and Steve will tell you himself I have spent a lot of time chatting with him trying to change his mind.

Steve is an excellent organised trustworthy football manager and as a person is true and honest. He has supported the club and me over our difficult years and has taken care of us. As I'm writing this the tears come again as Steve's chairlady he has made my job incredible easy and has taught me a lot from starting out as his very green reserve team Secretary. And as his friend I hold Steve is very high regard. Steve is loyal and he has proved this time and time again on and off the pitch.

Hopefully I may talk Steve into staying on at the club in some form but we will see what our chats and the summer brings. But for now Mr Steve Webb 1st team manager of Molesey fc thank you so much for all you have done for us words and thanks yous don't seem enough.

And from me. Much love and respect always.

So going forward myself and the committee have decided to keep in with the continuity of the club and ask Peter Lelliott time stay on and step into the role of first team manager. We believe that this will keep the club on a steady footing and continue to build what we have at Molesey. With regards to the other first team roles and support for Pete these will be announced shortly. Dick has agreed to carry on next season so thank u for that.

Lastly a big thank you to all back room staff for all that you do and have done through out the season. Enjoy your break and see you all back in August. And believe me without the special few and you know who you are involved could not do what I do eithout your help.

Presentation eve will be on the 23rd of April for all teams managers players and supporters please come along. 8pm start followed by Reds our live music for the evening. Think it's going to one of those presentation eve s u do not want to miss!!!!

Also another date for your diaries. On the 30th April we are hosting a charity match to raise funds to help Molesey Carnival to take place this year. Molesey Carnival will not be policed by the Surrey or met police this year as there is no funding so the carnival committee are looking to raise funds to employ are private security firm to come along and police the days events. For many years MFC have taken part in the parade and won !!! This year being no acception. And we have a banging ideas (lol as my daughters would say ). Anyhow as to help out we have decided to do a charity match with all players paying 10 pound to play and a disco (maybe an all request section) and bbq and all funds raised to go to Molesey carnival. It's a one o'clock kick off 2 pound entrance and our managers will be our Ross Chalkes and our skipper Craig Lewington all players welcome to take part anyone else see either manager. I believe Chalkes has the home dressing and kit !!!! Should be a bit of fun. Chalkes does beat Lewy every week at darts. So let's see what happens on the pitch.

Gosh I don't think I have ever said so much in my closing piece at the end of the season. Everyone enjoy the break and hope to see you all next season.

Don't forget we are in the semi of the southern combination cup defending our trophy. Keep an eye on the website.
