THE MOLES LOSE THEIR SECOND FRIENDLY

A stiffer test and thats what it proved for the young Moles.

Molesey with some trialists on show, welcomed the visit of Southerm League opponents Uxbridge at Walton Xcel 3G yesterday. The game was fairly even however, Uxbridge started the brighter and dominated possession in the early stages however, the Molesey 'keeper was never really troubled in making any significant saves due to some wayward shooting by their opponents.

As the match progressed, Molesey eased their way into the game and showed some excellent football In patches which caused Uxbridge some problems, firstly from the ever persistant Umotong who was giving the Uxbridge defence some cause of concern, especially when he went past 3 Uxbridge defenders only for his strike to be well saved by the Uxbridge 'keeper.

Whilst Molesey were defending stoutly, they caught Uxbridge on the break which led to their best chance with Hayward through 1 on 1 with the keeper however, his strike caught the inside of the 'keepers leg and deflected just wide of the post.

As usual in these pre-season friendlies, there many changes from both teams for the second half in which Uxbridge dominated possession. This possession finally gave way to a fine move leading to their striker slotting past the Molesey 'keeper. Molesey looked a little disjointed after these changes and rarely troubled the Uxbridge defence and keeper as the game came to a close.

All in all an excellent work out for both teams !

Molesey would like to thank Tony and his lads and wish Uxbridge FC all the very best for the forthcoming season.
