Tuesday night was The Moles 11th win in their last 12 games and their 101 goal...

After their 2-0 victory knocking out Badshot Lea in 1/4 final of the Surrey Senior Cup.

Molesey have now smashed the 100 goals barrier with still a possible maximum 19 games left in all competitions, that's another possible 55 goals at their current scoring rate ! Our defensive record is not bad either, conceding less than a goal (0.97) per game with 13 clean sheets !

It was a very disciplined performance by Molesey, who were soon hampered after Pratley-Jones received his second yellow card after only 35 minutes, in what can be said was a feisty game, but with the Molesey defence standing firm, this restricted Badshot Lea to a handful of half chances without really troubling Liam Allen in the Molesey goal.

Whilst Badshot Lea started the sharper, it was The Moles who scored first after 6 minutes when a delightful defence spliting through ball by McShane found Baxter all alone who slotted the ball past Baggies keeper Somerville with aplomb.

Moments later, from Allen quick drop kick, started a counter attack by the Moles where Palmer got past his defender to flight a perfect pass to Baxter who was unmarked and with the keeper to beat, he had one to many touches wanting to make sure, this allowed the Baggies defender to make a desperate but fine tackle to deter Baxters second goal and go for a corner.

These were not the only clear cut chances Molesey had, with half time approaching, a fine ball over the Baggies defence found Baxter through on goal again with Somerville to beat, this time he chose to shoot early only to screw his shot wide of the far post.

Second half with Molesey's 10 men, it was not surprising that the Baggies started to have their lion share of the play but didn't really create any thoughtful chances due to Molesey being organised and disciplined within their defensive duties, and whilst pressing for the equaliser, the Baggies introduced another forward Matt Stamp to go 4 up top but this left them vulnerable to the Molesey counter attack, which invariably included the introduction of Ashby Charles pace causing the Baggies problems down the right flank, then with game coming to a close with 7 minutes extra played, a fine break away but Molesey found Charles down the right who passed to Palladino, who set up McShane arriving on cue at the edge of the box cut the ball to swerve into the top corner leaving Somerville helpless, much to the delight of the players and supporters, and thus securing a place in the semi final against the favourites Ryman Premier outfit and good neighbours Met. Police at Walton Road.

Next up, its part III, as we play Badshot Lea again in the CCL this Saturday 7 March 2015 at Walton Road, kick off 3.00 pm...
