MOLESEY 0 v 1 WOODLEY UTD

Having suffered two defeats in a row, one in the FA Vase and out first in the league this season, it was imperative that Molesey performed well today and come away with a win.
Molesey took to the field knowing that a win was important and no blaming the officials or the weather would suffice. Both sides played out a first half that produced limited chances for either side. The chances that did come the way of Molesey were half chances at best and if they were not hit first time the Woodley Utd defense managed to block the chance and clear the ball.
I am sure the Molesey Manager would have had words at half time as it was a disappointing first half for Molesey as they seemed a little lacklustre, lacking the pace and energy that they have had over the previous games and seemed devoid of ideas.

The second half saw much the same as the first with no one team taking a grip on the game and it was in the 65th minute when the first and only goal of the game was scored.
A free kick was played into the attacking third by Woodley Utd and it was Bell that was on hand to get his head to the ball and glance it past Brown in the Molesey goal.
Despite Molesey doing everything they could to try and get the goal back and score the winner it was just not to be, and they slipped to the third defeat in a row.
Molesey can quickly put things right with a good performance against Windsor who are currently lying a few places below Molesey in the League with a negative goal difference This game taking place at Walton Road on Saturday with a 3.00pm Kick Off!
