Windsor Match Report

MOLESEY 5 v 2 WINDSOR

On paper this looked as though this was going to be a tight game, as it always is when these two teams have met in the past.
The game was delayed 15 minutes due to the late arrival of the Referee but once it got going it took a while for both teams to realise that the game had started.
Both teams were miss placing passes, over hitting them and not playing the normal passing game that they usually play.
The first goal came after 10 minutes when a dangerous ball was delivered into the Molesey penalty area for Millen-Talste scored from close range.
A few minutes later and Molesey were back level when some good Molesey pressure saw Grobler score from a few yards out.
Just before half-time Molesey had the last laugh of the half when Molesey were awarded a corner. It was delivered quickly towards Palm who had coasted in towards the near post and his volley found the corner of the net.
The second half saw Molesey start to take control as Windsor found the game hard work in the tremendous heat. Shortly after the restart Molesey found them 3-1 up after being awarded a Penalty that was smashed home by Hombessa.
To much surprise Windsor got the score back to 3-2 with a neat finish. Sadly, I couldn’t see who scored the goals as the shirt numbers were so difficult to see on the Windsor shirts.
Molesy closed the game out with 2 more goals scored by Hombessa and Moriarty to win 5-2 and gain the three valuable points.
An impressive display by the Moles in the heat which they handled better than Windsor as they noticeably tired in the second half!
Well done to both teams on putting on a good game of entertaining football
