Ben's match report from London Colney

Molesey 2 V 0 London Colney

Another 3 points was the order of today when the Boys from Molesey took on London Colney. On an unexpected chilly evening at the Newly Built and very impressive Walton Road Ground.
Both teams could not find any fluency in their play during the evening and this produced a dull and uneventful first half of football except one goal, and little or no other chances to speak of!
The One chance in the first half came from some Molesey pressure! The ball was played down the right and crossed into the London Colney penalty area for Harlem Bouchez to be on hand to tap the ball home.
The second half was a repeat of the first with Molesey applying the pressure and the London Colney defence doing very well to keep the Molesey team from scoring more.
On 55 minutes the Molesey pressure resulted in them being awarded a penalty kick which was gratefully converted by Jack Williamson to give Molesey some breathing space.
This all-important win and the valuable 3 points sees Molesey rise to sixth place and level on points with fifth placed Eversley and California. So a play off place is well in the hands of this young Molesey side who are playing open and attractive football that is bringing the crowds back to Molesey, entertaining them and leaving them wanting to come back again.
Well done to everyone and lets now push a little harder and get into the play off positions for the end of the season, which is not that far away now!

Come on you Moles! Ben
