MOLESEY 2 v 2 OXHEY JETS

A difficult day for Molesey and in particular Dariush who scored two good goals then got himself sent off and that allowed an enterprising Oxhey jets an opportunity to draw a game they should have lost!
The game started brightly for Molesey with Dariush potting Molesey 1-0 up after only 3 minutes. Molesey continued pushing forward but had to be careful with the counterattack as it was from one of these that Wheeler did well to get down to and save Molesey from conceding in the 17th minute.
Things got much better for Molesey when Dariush scored his second in the 36th minute when he again finished off a good move and put Molesey clear of trouble. Or so they thought!
!Shortly before half time Molesey were down to ten men when they had a player Blue Carded and this gave Oxhey Jets renewed hope and they started pressing Molesey.

In the second half Molesey were not at there best and Oxhey pulled a goal back on 55 minutes. On 79 minutes Molesey conceded a penalty and Dariush was shown a red card. The penalty was converted and the remainder of the match saw Molesey dig deep to not concede another.
Molesey will consider this as two points dropped but the feeling in the Clubhouse was that we didn’t lose and we won a useful point!
The next game comes up on Saturday with an early kick off due to the M25 being closed. The game at Brook House will be difficult but a good 3 points will be the order of the day!
