Molesey made it 2 wins in a row and 2 clean sheets in a row after beating Cobham 1-0 in a close encounter at Walton Road.
The game was played in glorious sunshine and only went ahead after the hard work from Ross the groundsman who spent the whole of Friday clearing the surface water from the pitch, after last weeks rain deluge.
The 1st half saw the Molesey's midfield of Craig Lewington, Ryan Marklew, Connor Shanon and Tom Windsor control the game, limiting Cobham's to only a a hand full of soft chances. At the other end Leakan Osideko and Adam Roberts looked like they have started to form a good understanding and where constantly linking up well. The Cobham keeper had little problem dealing with the Molesey 1st half attempts from Leaken, Adam and Ryan Marklew as they all seemed to be straight and at a comfortable height.
For the 2nd week running Molesey came out sharper after the break.
On the 66th minute the pressing down from Roberts caused the Cobham keeper to miss hit a back pass straight back to him and he unselfishly squared the ball to Leaken, who calmly slotted the ball home for the only goal of the game. Danny Campion replaced Leaken and was his normal busy self. Connor McShane and Paps from the U23's replaced Connor Channon and Adam Roberts, with both slotting into the formation like they've been in the team all season.
The Cobham keeper didn't seem at all confident but for some better finishing Molesey could have been out of site but the game finished 1-0, meaning Liam Allen has 2 clean sheets in a row.
