A defensive howler from Tom Dilloway after 7 minutes allowed Liam Holden - who spent the early part of pre-season with the Moles - to fire beyond Wester Young, and Michael Corbett doubled the lead ten minutes later, reacting first to fire home after his header had cannoned off the bar.
Aaron Agyeman got on the end of a fine team move for the Moles but could only shoot straight at the keeper, before Lewis Ackerman pulled a goal back by flicking a header into the far corner from Manny Quarshie's cross.
Casuals restored their two goal advantage within a minute of the re-start when Corbett's spot kick was kept out by Young, but once again the Casuals defender reacted first to squeeze in the rebound.
Having made all their changes at half-time injury forced the Moles to finish the game with eight men, with Quarshie, Luke Elliott and Andy Graves all hobbling off long before the end, and all must be considered a doubt for the season's opener at Farnham on Saturday.
