THE MOLES PROVE TO FLEET OF FOOT IN FA TROPHY

On the day Molesey's clinical finishing and their backline proved to strong for Fleet's attackers, as they were able to cut almost every forward ball and cross in and around their box, which meant that with their complete early domination, it wasn't until 35 minutes before the Molesey keeper Allen was called upon to stop a shot at his goal, by then the Moles were already two goals to the good, a cross nodded home by their goal machine McShane and another from Tom Windsor after a neat, well worked 1-2 on the edge of the box opening up Fleet's defence for Tom to smash home

Just before the interval a dangerous throw for Fleet picked out Rousell, his overhead kick was saved and within seconds Molesey were at the other end of the pitch with McShane arriving on schedule to prod the ball home for his seconf of the match.

Fleet introduced Daryll Phillips and Ben Toye for the second half, a more fired up performance followed, spurred on by a super Ben White strike, then when the ball fell to him off a Moles defender from a Parker cross, White's shot from 25 yards flew into the corner of the net, to give Fleet any glimpse of a way back.

By now Fleet were getting more into the game by cancelling out Molesey's threat until the award of a penalty on 65 minutes, with McShane being tripped, he picked himself up and then neatly slotted the ball home for his hat-trick, this invariably killed the game off. A fine save at the foot of the post by Liam Allen from a Mlambo header kept the hope of some further consolation at bay however. Molesey went on to cap their fine performance with another goal in the final few minutes when Grobler powered in a header from the edge of the box.

For the last 25 minutes, The Moles brought on Palmer last season's top goalscorer. after a month's absence getting married and then followed by his honeymoon, Congratulautions Mr & Mrs Palmer ! ...and true to the word, it wasn't long before Palmer got into the action with a rasping shot that just went over the bar, another that stung the Fleet keepers hands and finally, another strike into the side netting from an acute angle.

The last 20 minutes The Moles saw the game out comfortably, until Grobler's bullet header which sealed an excellent 5-1 victory.

Molesey now face Didcot at home in the 1st round on 31 October who beat Bridgewater 3-1 in the replay after a 0-0 original scoreline.
