Molesey 1 v 2 FC Deportivo Galicia

With Molesey in 6th and Deportivo in 11th and having only lost once at home this season the majority of spectators in the ground were expecting a tough game but ultimately a Molesey victory.
No one explained this to Deportivo who started the game with only eleven players on the pitch and no named subs. Six First team players were on holiday in Cadiz, there manager was away and the goalkeeper had only just been signed a few days ago!
The first 25 minutes was very quiet with no real attempts on goal by either side. Molesey were guilty of misplacing there passes and not playing with the speed and accuracy of a team playing at home.
The only action in the first half of note was when Deportivo opened the score in the 43rd minute totally against the run of play. A misplaced pass and the ball was given away with Molesey on the attack, the ball was pushed forward and Gonzales ran forward and the ball ran for him off a couple a rebounds, he found himself clear so he ran on and slotted the ball past Wheeler to score the opening goal.

The Second half came and Molesey seemed a little more lively and indeed pulled level when a ball in to the Deportivo Penalty area was well finished by Bouchez.
Minutes later and Deportivo had two players dismissed, one for dissent and the other for a second bookable offence.
That should have made the game easier for Molesey but somehow the team seemed to lose their way and they conceded a second when Amin ran down the left wing, cut inside and scored with a shot that when in off the post to give Deportivo a disappointing, for the Molesey faithful, 2-1 victory and ultimately put a big dent in Molesey and there promotion hopes.

This now means that three points are vital when we take on London Samurai Rovers an Saturday at Walton Road Stadium!
