Molesey 1 v 1 Bedfont

It was a very hot afternoon at Molesey FC for the visit of Bedfont and a large crowd came along to enjoy the afternoon.
From the kick off it was evident to see that Bedfont were going to show that they were not at Molesey to make up the numbers as after only 5 minutes quick break and a good through ball put Smith through for Bedfont , fortunately Wheeler stood firm and pulled off one of many good saves that he made through the afternoon.
On ten minutes Molesey had a good effort but sadly the reliable Everett somehow screwed his shot over the bar.
In the 20th minute, Taylor, for Bedfont, got down the left and behind the Molesey defence when he then crossed the ball and sadly for Bedfont, a miss-timed by Camara saw the ball go past the Molesey goal.

Nil – Nil at halftime and the decent sized crowd took advantage of the Molesey bar and the very popular tea bar that was doing a roaring trade as the temperature seemed to be getting hotter.
The Second half was just 10 minutes old and the first goal of the game was scored by Bedfont to the delight of the following fans. A very good build up and a passing move involving a number of players, resulted in Hepburn receiving the pall inside the Molesey penalty area and he made no mistake putting the ball past Wheeler.r
To the credit of Molesey, instead of sitting back they went straight into attack mode to get their equalizer and after 5 minutes from going behind they drew level. Aziz received the ball in space and he ran on and planted a shot past Armstrong in the Bedfont goal and give Molesey a deserved equalizer.
1-1 is how the match finished and two teams that were very hot, sweaty, and very tired left the field of play to a good applause.
Well done to both Molesey and Bedfont who played a good and open game in very hot conditions and playing a fair and honest game of football that consisted of two well balanced teams competing fairly, without malice, and coming away with a well earned point each
