It was a lovely sunny October afternoon at Walton road, when high flying Berks County where the visitors.
Berks started the quickest and got off to the perfect start, when in the 6th Samuel Day bundled the ball over the goal line, when the Molesey deference should have cleared the ball. Berks continued to pepper the Molesey goal but Alex was keeping the berks strikers at bay.
Molesey grew into the game and their hard work paid off, when Jamal Velinor brought the scores level in the 19 minute.
The games flow was broken up continuously, with the ref seemly only feeling that Molesey players couldn't make any fair tackles.
In between the steady flow of free kicks it was Rob Brown who put the Moles 2-1 up just before the 1/2 hour mark with a great strike.
The 2nd half started the same, with both teams having good chances.
The referee continued brandishing yellow cards but this half for the away side.
It was just before the hour when Berks County equalized when Ikhon Ward tapped in from close range.
With the game still being broken up with countless free kicks, Molesey won one of these free kicks some 35 yards out in the 67th minute, Berks had built a 4 man wall but Rob Brown hit his free kick hard and low into the bottom right hand corner of the Berks goal, their goal keeper had no chance.
The game continued to go from end to end with both teams having chances and if it wasn't for man of the match Alex Londors in the Molesey goal the scoreline could have had a different look.
A good game and Molesey worthy for taking all 3 points.
This week the we break away from the league and we 1st entertain our neighbors Met Police on Tuesday 14th October .745 in the Surrey Senior Cup.
Then Saturday we welcome high flying Haywards Heath in the 1st round proper in the FA Vase, please note it's a 2pm kick off.
