A 62nd penalty was enough to secure the three points for a hard working Molesey as they defeated Badshot Lea by one goal to nil

Badshot Lea went into this game on top of the league but ended it by dropping to third.

They never really got into their stride in this game and credit must be given to Molesey who set their stall out and stopped their hosts from getting the ball down and playing.

Mark Anderson was without the influential Nick Sowden for this one through illness and Rob Westell came into the starting line up at right back.
The only goal of the game came from the penalty spot on 62 minutes when Jamie Hoppitt was adjudged to handle in the area.

Apart from the last 15 minutes Badshot Lea never really mounted any real pressure on the Molesey defence and in the end they held out for a deserved three points.

With the games coming thick and fast, Mark Anderson will not have time to dwell on this as he prepares to take his squad to Colliers Wood on Wednesday before the trip to Guernsey on Saturday.
