Molesey 1 Guildford 1
Saturday 30th October the Moles welcomed Guildford City to Walton Road, for a Combined Counites League South Fixture.
The overnight rain had drained and made for a near perfect playing surface, the late October sunshine was an added bonus .
Warren was forced to make a few changes to the starting line-up, with team absentees and injuries along with Antonio still suspended.
Cadwell Fraser-Robinson was a new face to the team and Jonathan Gyoshe returned to right back after missing the SCR cup game.
The 1st 15 minutes saw an uninspiring start to the game, with too many missed placed passes from both sides.
Then 19 minutes in Guildford broke down the Molesey left hand side and their winger produced a perfect pass for the unmarked attacker to easily slot home from just inside box.
The remainder of the half saw neither keeper really challenged as both side cancelled each other out.
HT 0-1
The 2nd half saw both teams try and attack but with Molesey having the better of the early chances.
Guildford seemed in no rush to keep the game flowing and with the some unnecessary yellow cards. It was then no surprise when the Guildford centre back number 6 was shown his 2nd yellow for a petty foul just outside the box.
The resulting free kick saw Jonathan hit a shot straight at the Guildford keeper.
With the extra man Molesey took control of the game and moved the ball well from side to side, creating a handful of half chances which the Guildford keeper did well to save, from Kissi and the ever tireless returning Josh Andrews.
The Molesey back 4 controlled the 2nd half attempts from Guildford to press forward with both Ben and Charlie creating a good understanding partnership.
It was late on when Molesey final broke the Guildford defence with a great pass from Conner Channon, that set up a chance for Cadwell to shoot across the keeper and make it 1-1.
With the 2nd half performance Molesey put in they should feel aggrieved not to take all 3 points.
The next challenge is Cobham next Saturday 6th November in the Combined Counties League South
